1.Skilled Labor "Snow Boarder "

A. Proof of at least 36 months of professional experience in sports instruction
This includes time spent:

  • Studying sports instruction as a major subject at a foreign educational institution, and/or

  • Working as a paid instructor or athlete in the relevant sport.


For winter sports like skiing or snowboarding, the work season typically lasts about 4 months per year in each hemisphere. Even if an applicant works both in Japan and in countries like Australia, the total experience is counted as approximately 8 months per year. Accumulating 36 months of experience usually requires several years of consistent work.
 

B. Participation in international competitions
The applicant must have participated in an international competition such as the Olympic Games or World Championships, either as an athlete, or in an official role such as coach.

2.Ski Instructor Visa

Employment Contract: as a ski instructor.
The qualifications certified by the Ski Instructors Association of Japan (SIA):
o    Alpine Ski Stage I, II, III, IV
o    Or a qualification equivalent to or higher than those recognized by SIA.

  • You must receive a salary equal to or greater than that of Japanese instructors.

  • It is common to obtain a visa for a period of 6 months. Since it is intended for seasonal work, it cannot be renewed. If you wish to extend your stay, you will need to apply for another visa

3.Specific skill No. 1
Hotel Services 

Work related to providing accommodation services such as front desk, planning and public relations, customer service, and restaurant service at accommodation facilities.

Applicant have to pass the exam:

"Accommodation Sector Specified Skills No. 1 Evaluation Test"
"The Japan Foundation Japanese Language Basic Test" or "Japanese Language Proficiency Test (N4 or above)"


Sponsored Company's one of the requirements:
Specified skills organizations must become members of the "Council for Specified Skills in the Accommodation Sector"

4.Front desk at Hotel

Example: A person who graduated from university, working based on a contract with a Hotel frequently used by tourists from their home country. This person will be responsible for interpreting and translating during negotiations with travel agencies from their home country to attract more customers, and for providing foreign language instruction to employees.

The person must have graduated from university or have more than three years of practical experience relating to interpreting etc.
